The Southern Boone soccer programs began in the 2000-2001 school year with the help of the Optimist soccer programs that had been started a few years earlier. The initial push to get soccer in the high school was denied by the school board, but eventually passed in the spring of 2000. George Zimny was hired as the first head coach of the boys and girls programs - a role he held for two years. The teams played the first two seasons at the Optimist Field before moving to the current location at the high school in 2002.
Accurate game record are missing for the years 2003 and 2005-06 in boys and 2003-2007 in girls, but below are the overal records vs opponents during the 2000-2002, 04 and 2007-2015 boys and 2001-2003 and 2008-2015 girls seasons. Individual records can be found on the boys and girls soccer pages.
